NAHCA Board of Directors Makes Statement on CNA Duty During Pandemic

CARL JUNCTION, MO – The Board of Directors of National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) made the following statement on each Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA’s) role and responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic:

“The Board of Directors of The National Association of Healthcare Assistants supports and encourages all CNAs to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19, not only inside the workplace, but out in the public as well. These guidelines are designed for the protection of everyone. We as an association find it very unprofessional for CNAs to blatantly disregard mask wearing and following self-quarantine obligations. We as professionals are on the frontline of this pandemic and it is our responsibility to lead by example and be people’s lifeline to heathy lifestyles, not their direct exposure to COVID-19.”

The NAHCA Board of Directors is made up of eight CNAs throughout the nation. For more information about NAHCA’s Board of Directors, go to, https://www.nahcacna.org/about/board-of-directors/.
