While traveling recently, I was lucky enough to get a window seat. After takeoff, I noticed how I could see pieces of land, water, and what look like mountains. I was amazed by how they all came together, kind of like little puzzle pieces, each having its own corner connecting with one another.

Every piece was as important as the next.

A Tapestry of Care and Backgrounds

My mind then shifted to healthcare caregivers and how they are connected in the same way. We fit into the puzzle. We come from different states, function in different work settings, and go by different titles — from CNA, CMT, RNA, CMA, Direct Care, Patient Tech, and End of Life.

Hospital CNA and Hospice CNA: These are just a few names that we go by.

However, we all have one goal in mind, and that is to HONOR, SERVE, AND PROTECT the ones we care for!

We Belong Together

NAHCA is an organization for all healthcare professionals. Titles and work settings do not matter to us. We all belong to the puzzle and strive to bring recognition to each and every one of our members. The NAHCA Board of Directors members come from different areas — from Michigan, Missouri, and Tennessee, to Oklahoma and Virginia.

We go by different titles and have many different classifications and experiences in the healthcare industry. The NAHCA staff include other parts of the puzzle, as do our associates and partners.

Pride in Our Profession

As we move forward into 2023, let’s bring all these puzzle pieces together. Let’s hold our heads up high and let the world see who we are. The world needs to see us as connecting all the puzzle pieces and bringing a sense of pride to our profession and our professional association.
